It's Official - Colorado is #22!

Exciting news from our neighbors in Colorado: Governor Jared Polis has signed Senate Bill 100 into law, making Colorado the 22nd state to abolish the death penalty! We could not be happier as yet another state rids itself of the broken and inhumane death penalty system.

Our most profound congratulations go out to our friends at Coloradans for Alternatives to the Death Penalty, and we send our deepest gratitude to the resilient citizen volunteers that kept up the sustained pressure needed to push elected officials across the finish line. The incredible amount of hard work and long years that went into this victory are awe-inspiring. This moment is yours to relish!

Abolition of the death penalty is an idea whose time has come, and Nebraskans who are fed up with this wasteful, inefficient, and unjust practice are eager to once again strike it from the books. Make sure to keep an eye on our Facebook page and on our Twitter account to find out how you can help as we renew our work toward justice.
