We at NADP are very excited to once again participate in Give To Lincoln Day on May 25, 2021. You don't have to wait though—online giving begins at 12:00am on May 1! All donations made for the Give To Lincoln challenge will help NADP receive a proportional share of the Lincoln Community Foundation challenge match fund, which is $500,000 this year. Last year, thousands of individuals made donations to 449 local nonprofit organizations, raising nearly $7 million for the nonprofit community (a new record)! Due to the ongoing public health crisis, donors are once again encouraged to give online.
Give To Lincoln Day is a wonderful opportunity for Nebraskans of all walks of life to invest in and partner with the growing movement to end the broken death penalty in our state once and for all. Are you eager to help? Your donation will help propel the movement forward in the coming months; with your generous investment, NADP will work hard to rebuild a statewide operation and meet a series of ambitious goals:
Identifying new repeal champions in the State Legislature
Growing outreach and education efforts for elected representatives and prosecutors
Gathering support for "less-than-lethal" legislation that increases transparency and accountability surrounding the administration of the death penalty
Building organizing infrastructure, including full-time staff
Engaging in robust social media campaigns
Investing in public outreach efforts: tabling, book clubs, vigils, movie screenings, discussion panels, etc.
Producing new thought-provoking materials to further challenge the death penalty as bad public policy
If you are interested in giving via Donor Advised Funds, IRA distributions, or by pledging your own outside match, please contact firstname.lastname@example.org.
If you prefer to donate offline, checks may be mailed directly to the address below (mail only, no drop-offs please):
