Communications Internship Available

Nebraskans for Alternatives to the Death Penalty Foundation (NADP) seeks a sharp, dedicated intern with a passion for our cause to support our work with writing, social media, and research.

Responsibilities:

  • Draft articles, action alerts, and breaking news stories for publication in our print newsletter, website, and social media outlets.

  • Manage posts to our website and social media outlets.

  • Create and revise factsheets and other materials for use at NADP events.

  • Help manage database of NADP members and supporters for communications needs.

  • Participate in other communications and research tasks as needed

Qualifications:

  • Interns should be committed to the repeal of the death penalty; excited about the endless opportunities that communications work presents, and interested in working both independently and part of a fun, committed team.

  • This internship requires very strong writing, research and analytical skills; Experience in drafting news articles, blogs and in desktop publishing is a plus.

  • Interns should be creative, results-oriented, self-directed, reliable, flexible, and committed to the internship.


Interns are expected to work a minimum of 8-10 hours per week. This internship is unpaid. Course credit may be available.
