October is Respect Life Month

This October, the Catholic Church throughout the United States will observe Respect Life Month. This is the 42nd year that the Catholic Church has set aside a month to call upon Catholics to renew their personal commitment to defend all human life.

Respect Life Month begins next Sunday, October 6.

The Catholic Mobilizing Network to End the Use of the Death Penalty (CMN) has many valuable resources to help the Catholic community talk about the death penalty and the sanctity of life.

These resources include homilies, lesson plans, and CMN’s booklet Renewing a Culture of Life, which shares Church teaching against the death penalty (available in both English and Spanish).
